Paula Peril Production Moved to Phoenix

Phoenix, Arizona – Due to fires in San Diego County and the Los Angeles area, New Phoenix Filmworks has made the decision to move principal photography for Paula Peril: Midnight is the Darkest Hour to its home base of Phoenix, Arizona.

“At least 50% of the film was to be shot in San Diego alone, with perhaps another 25% of scenes to be shot in Los Angeles.” said Director Andy Rodriguez-McCradic. “This large shifting of gears in the production will mean the hiring of Phoenix locals, jobs that were originally meant for their Southern California counterparts. We are going to take a two week break while a new schedule is built and locations set. Our hope is that we can get this new schedule locked down with our goal still being a December 15 completion date.”

Rodriguez-McCradic did say that crew and some members of the cast will likely be back in San Diego for exteriors at a later time, but only after the extent of the damage has been assessed. “Our prayers and best wishes are with all of those who are suffering through this catastrophe” he was quoted as saying.
