Southwest Airlines joins Marriott as Official Sponsors of Paula Peril Movie
Phoenix, Arizona – New Phoenix Filmworks announced today that the Marriott Corporation (www.marriott.com) and Southwest Airlines (www.southwest.com) have both agreed to officially sponsor production on Paula Peril: Midnight is the Darkest Hour, a new feature-length action film due for release in April 2008.
Both sponsorships will help cover costs involved with lodging and transportation of cast and crew during primary photography, which is taking place over the next few months. Marriott will provide hotel rooms in the Phoenix area, and locations that will be used in filming. Southwest Airlines will be providing reduced-rate airfare on its popular routes between Phoenix and Los Angeles.
"Having Southwest partner with us on the Paula Peril film is a great, welcome addition to our cause”, said film Director and Producer Andy Rodgriguez-McCradic, “Phoenix is a Southwest hub and I believe their second busiest city, behind their home city of Dallas...it is a natural, logical fit that they partner with us, also based here in Phoenix."
The Marriott connection is also invaluable. “We have a lot of talent coming out of Los Angeles for this film,” said Executive Producer James Watson, “Marriott is providing comfortable lodging for the hard-working crew at a fraction of their regular rates. It will enable us to complete the film on time and on budget.”
